Personal data

We process your personal data to make your use of the service possible, maintain security of the service, provide an audit log and improve the service.

The following personal data is processed:

• If you have an account, your email address and password to identify you and to send you notifications via email. This data is kept for as long as you have the account.
• If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message to respond to your request. We keep this data for 3 months.
• Your activity on the service for audit, attribution, and statistical purposes. We keep this data for 3 months.
• Your IP address, when you use the free basic scan, to prevent abuse of the service. We keep this data for 3 months.
• Your IP address, Internet browser and device you use to maintain security of the service and to detect abuse. We keep this data until our logs rotate.

Your personal data is either provided directly by you or, in case of a business account, by your employer.

Sharing with 3rd parties.

We may share your personal data with third parties in the following circumstances:

• In agreement with your employer - If you use the service from a business account your employer has access to and manages your personal data.
• To operate the service - we conclude a processor's agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf in order to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your personal data.
• To comply with a legal obligation - we may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in response to a request from law enforcement or another regulatory authority.
• Acquisition - In the event that Atlasscan or 42 B.V. are acquired by a third party, in which case information held by us about our users will be one of the transferred assets.

We take the security of your personal data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent abuse, data loss, unauthorized access, illegal disclosure or unauthorized modification. When you access the service the communications between your computer and the service are encrypted using https.

Your password is stored securely using BCrypt, a hard to brute force hashing algorithm.

Your rights

Data protection law gives you the right to access and update your personal data, to object to the use of your personal data for certain purposes, and the right to erase, restrict or receive a machine-readable copy of your personal data.

Atlasscan uses technical cookies to manage your session with the service. These cookies are essential to provide you the service and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.

Atlasscan does not use functional, analytical or tracking cookies.

Advertising

When you use the free basic scan a simple advertisement may be displayed. The advertisement chosen is based on the top level domain on the link you provided.

Links to third party websites

Atlasscan contains links to other websites. This privacy policy does not apply to those other websites and we do not accept liability for the content of any other website. Please check the privacy policy of any other website before submitting any personal data to it.

Updates

We may change this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes to this policy will become effective upon issue of the revised policy. If we make changes which we believe that are significant, we will inform you through the service to the extent possible and seek your consent where applicable.
